Art History Vol.1
Many of us are walking around with some kind of scar. Whether physical or emotional its still a scar. Still a soft point that if touched too hard quickly brings up unwanted memories.
With this image I wanted to find something that encompasses it all. That details the daily struggle's, the fight to stay a float, the fight to reach to the place that we deem important. Even if at it's core the place is. A bag of fuckeries. Based on illusions that societies place's on us and that is further entwined and strengthened by the values of the communities we spend out time around.
Whether we realise it or not it really does take a community to raise a child...

About The Writer
In my day to day work, I've spent close to 10 years working with some of London's most extreme young offenders. Working with them tirelessly in trying to create real opportunities for them, while trying to bring stability to the chaos that can be their world at times. I don't even call this work, as this is something I love doing, and thankfully my passion for it has helped many of these young people into much brighter circumstances.
If you'd like for me to give a talk to your class in regards to the issues that surround these young people or require consultancy for dealing with these young people then please feel free to get in contact.
